" DPF " Diesel particulate filter Solutions

If you have this warning showing then your cars soot filter is possibly partially blocked and that the car cannot regenerate in order to burn off the soot in the particulate filter. If you continue to drive then you may put your cars engine at risk as one of two things can happen. With the particulate filter located on the exhaust just after the turbo this means pressure builds up in exhaust. As the turbo is located between the engine and the particulate filter then it can suffer failure due to the pressure, heat and also diesel that has entered the oil and now caused your oil level to rise and the quality of the oil to degrade.

“EGR” Electronic gas recirculation Solutions

The “EGR Valve” located on the engine recirculates exhaust gas from the exhaust to the intake manifold. A bit like recycling as it can use unburned fuel that has gone through the engine a second time. It also uses the hot exhaust gas to cool the engine and also to aid a warmer engine running temperature after startup. However as exhaust gas contains soot particles then these particles get trapped in the pipework and block the function of the “DPF filter”. Repaired in time can save a lot of money.

Dtc deletion.

Dtc stands for diagnostic trouble code. Codes are usually present when check engine or some other warning lights show on the dash.
Dpf, egr, adblue can show these dtcs but also we can have dts from other influences from engine. For eg, p0380 is a dtc for heater or glow plugs. Yes usually glow plugs can be changed but if your mechanic says whilst removing the glow plug snapped off then it’s usually engine head off to drill out. I can delete most dtcs in engine management and there are some I can’t too for the following reasons. Dtcs are there to tell why your car is in limp more or something electrical impending. If your car has dtcs for camshaft sensor, fuel issues or a vital sensor crucial for the cars operation then I would repair the problem.
